Institute for blood transfusion in Nis, with the support of Palilula Municipality, within the Winter campaign of voluntary blood donations `Your five minutes-someones whole life` organized in NKC this voluntary action. According to tradition the appeal was sent to good-willing blood donors to come and be part of this humanitarian action. The employed in the Administration, members of the authorities of Palilula Municipality and representatives of other organizations and institutions from Municipal territory also joined this activity in Palilula. According to Boban Dzunic words, president of Palilula Municipality, this organization of local self government of the City of Nis has extraordinary cooperation with the Institution for blood transfusion. Not only me, but great number of employees in Palilula Municipality came and donate blood. We who represent Municipal authorities have to give the example with our personal participation to other our fellow citizens not to forget the solidarity and humanity.

Aleksandar Zdrale, councilor of the Municipal Assembly, so far has given six times blood. This gesture is one humane act, says Aleksandar, and with this I am helping the others who need this more than anything else.Dragana Tomic, employed in Palilula Municipality, many times has given her blood voluntary. She directed the call to all the citizens who can give blood and in that way help those who need this type of help.

Institute for blood transfusion in Nis is medical institution that provides blood and blood derivatives for treatment of patients. Blood is collected from voluntary blood donors during actions or in the Institute itself, says Igor Peric, action organizer. During last year more than 20, 000 citizens of Nis and this region gave voluntary blood.
